I walked down the street earlier today. Ran into a friend. He noticed right away — something was amiss.

“Mike E.” He asked. “Where are your pockets??”

“Pockets.” I explained. “Are for to keep cash in.”

But my pockets got empty

All my money got SPENT

So my pockets up & quit my shorts

Said “We don’t work for LINT!!

My money comes and goes, my money comes and goes, it rolls and flows, it rolls and flows through the holes in the pockets of my clothes…..

Funny: A phantom green wormwood cocktail of love — that’d be Absynth Eve ya’ll Custie gumnuts — read my tragically funny rhyme just now & herself recited the same verse you, MG TANK, likewise lifted from the annals of poetic mystery.

A long remembered poem filled with long forgotten lines.

    If people ask me,
    I always tell them:
“Quite well, thank you, I’m very glad to say.”
    If people ask me,
    I always answer,
“Quite well, thank you, how are you to-day?”
    I always answer,
    I always tell them,
    If they ask me

    I wish

    That they wouldn’t.

I love it. Sometimes the simplest shortest lines say it all!
